Input View Guide

After importing your data into Convect AI’s IBP software, you can view and edit the data in the Input View. The Input View presents your data in a spreadsheet format, allowing you to make modifications directly before running the optimization process.

The Input View is designed for ease of use, with all data sheets displayed in a familiar spreadsheet format. To quickly navigate between the different sheets:

  • Click the triple-line icon located at the bottom-left corner of the spreadsheet. This will display a list of all available sheets, making it easy to switch between them.

Each sheet in the Input View corresponds one-to-one with the sheets in the original data template you imported. This includes all the sheets for products, sites, demand, production, and more. For detailed explanations of each sheet and its columns, refer to the Data Import Guide.

Editing Data in the Input View

You can directly edit in the Input View to update your data. This is especially useful for adjusting production constraints, modifying demand quantities, or changing transportation costs without re-uploading the entire data file.

Once you’ve made the necessary changes:

  1. Click the "Update Data" button at the top of the Input View to save your changes.
  2. If you do not click this button, any changes made in the Input View will not be reflected in the optimization process.

After updating your data, you can proceed with the optimization by clicking the Solve button.

By using the Input View, you can fine-tune your data and ensure that everything is set up perfectly before running the optimization process. This flexibility allows you to respond quickly to changing supply chain conditions without needing to re-upload data.
